Who else is itching to see Jennifer Lawrence’s latest film, No Hard Feelings? I can say I’ve been waiting for this movie to come out on Netflix. At the beginning of the month, our streamers played a little prank on us. I thought this comedy would be released on his September 23rd date, but that was the Netflix India release date. So what about us American viewers? When will it be?
Mark your calendars! “No Hard Feelings” begins streaming on Netflix on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM PT. This is usually when new releases arrive on the streamer. If you live on the East Coast, you’ll be able to start watching at 3 a.m. ET. Midwesterners like me like to set our alarms for 2 a.m. Central time. I’m so happy that this movie will be released in theaters on Sunday at midnight. That means it’s okay to stay up a little later. I have the day off today!
Many of you may know that this movie was actually released in theaters in June 2023. And it is a project of Sony Pictures Entertainment. So why is it streaming on Netflix? The two companies have already reached an agreement for 2021. The deal makes Netflix the first streaming home for Sony’s new releases. I myself am very grateful for this transaction!

The story of No Hard Feelings and its cast
Jennifer Lawrence is truly a powerful person! She has taken on so many amazing and powerful roles. Check out her appearance in Unique Playbook with Bradley Cooper (also streaming on Netflix!). We love seeing her talent in dramatic roles, but playing her more light-hearted characters also shows how dynamic she is as an actress.
And that’s exactly what you get with “No Hard Feelings”! Lawrence is also a producer on the film and plays Maddie Burke. She needs money and she found the perfect way to get some cash. According to the synopsis, she receives an “interesting job ad” asking a woman to go on a date with her “introverted 19-year-old son.” When he goes to college, his wealthy parents want him to shed some of his awkwardness. Maddie thinks it’s an easy job and she accepts. However, her “boyfriend” Percy is “more challenging” than she expected. And time is running out before everything is lost.
Andrew Barth Feldman plays Percy Beck, and his parents are Laura Benanti, who plays Alison Becker, and Matthew Broderick, who plays Laird Becker. Natalie Morales as Sara and Hasan Minhaj as Doug Carn round out the cast.
